Title IX 50th Anniversary Commemorative Jersey

Title IX is a federal law in the US that prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. It marks a major turning point for women and girls in having equal access and opportunity to participate in sport. 

Originally passed in 1972, June 23, 2022 marks the 50th Anniversary of this historic piece of legislation. To celebrate, Ida Sports has released a limited edition Title IX 50th Anniversary Commemorative Jersey with 50% of proceeds going to support the Sports Bra Project.  

Like Ida, the Sports Bra Project believes in the power of well-fitting and essential sporting equipment to reduce the participation gap for women and girls in sport. 

The commemorative jersey is meant to both celebrate the stride we have made via the work of trailblazers before us. It also allows us the opportunity to reflect on the work still to be done and our hopes for a new future that is within our control. Ultimately though, the Title IX Commemorative Jersey is a call to action to women and girls around the world to continue to build the ripples in their local communities and to MAKE WAVES AND MOVE MOUNTAINS.
